8pm – TMI Project presents Too Much Information!  PTown!
@Sage Inn & Lounge, 336 Commercial Street For tickets – click here!
After just a few days in an intensive TMI Project writing retreat, brave women will take to the stage to share their well-crafted real-life stories with you. These stories are sometimes hysterically funny, sometimes poignant and eye-opening, but always entertaining and inspiring.
The personal is universal, and by sharing the parts of stories many of us typically leave out for public consumption our writers/performers help to reveal common threads in all our lives. The secret parts are the ones we most long to share and hear. In telling and hearing them, we get connected. In our experience, storyteller and viewer alike leave the show with a new understanding of their experiences, and a new openness. We’ve heard on many occasions that audience members share juicy morsels in car rides home that they never would have discussed otherwise.

8pm The Incomparable Suede!
Paramount @ The Crown & Anchor, 247 Commercial Street
The NY Times says her show is “A spectacular evening of song and style.” Boston Globe says “Wicked exciting!” None other than Bea Arthur shouted from Suede’s audience “You are *#%^ing to DIE for! Thank you for the most incredible night of my life in an audience!”

Suede tours nationally, regularly selling out famous rooms like San Francisco’s Rrazz Room, New York’s famous Birdland, playing the Kennedy Center and beyond. She’s also just back from playing one of many benefits she does all year – this time raising $45K in ONE NIGHT for a free clinic outside Washington, DC whose funding has been severely cut because they provide women’s health services (among all other family health practices)! She donated her DVD “Suede, Live at Scullers Jazz Club” for use by PBS during their fall fund-drive and it has been aired on 54 stations nationally, so far.
Critics have said she is like Adele meets Diana Krall meets Bette Midler – sassy, smooth and intoxicating. This week she’ll be with pianist Fred Boyle and Rich Hill on bass – and LOTS of new tunes. If you haven’t caught Suede in a while it’s definitely time to come back – and bring your friends. They’ll thank you for it!
