The signature/anchor event of Women’s Week has always been the Community Dinner on Tuesday night. This year Tuesday also falls on October 11 – which is National Coming Out Day as well – so we’re combining the entertainment part of the Community Dinner – Women’s Week performers’ samplers – with a selection of audience members telling their Coming Out story.
Interested audience members will put their names in a hat to be picked to tell a 3 minute version of their coming out story. Story Tellers: What happened? When was this? Who did you tell? How did it go? Was there any humor to it? What do you know today that you wish you knew then? Must be kept to 3 minutes.
The event is a benefit for Womencrafts, who will be capping off their fundraising campaign to buy and stabilize their store’s property and continue the 46 year legacy of lesbian owned and operated space! The suggested donation is $25 – more if you can; less if you can’t. All seating is general admission. See the GoFundME page to learn more about the incredible “Save Womencrafts” effort and to contribute beyond the price of your ticket.
